Making playdough

I promised Jambin that after we came home from the doctor's (obstetrician) this morning, that we would make playdough. He's been very excited about it all morning, telling everyone who gives him the time of day "make playdough, make playdough".

I used the recipe from the back of the McKenzie's cream of tartar container:
2 cups plain flour
4 tbs cream of tartar
2 tbs cooking oil
1 cup salt
2 cups water
food colouring

Usually, I use the recipe for cooked playdough from the Western Australian PAL (Play And Learning)playdough factsheet which looks to be the same, only half the volume.

Helping to pour the ingredients in the saucepan:

Clean-up (fun when you're nearly 2, not as fun when you're 31):

Great to see all your posts! Sounds like you have been very productive getting everything unpacked! I have never made playdough - should give it a try. Thomas owns the same shirt Jambin has on in the pics! Looks like he enjoys the beach - Thomas is terrified of waves. Loves to build sand castles though
